  1.                  Customer Order Management System ("COMS")
  2.  
  3. The COMS program and related files are compressed and combined into one self-
  4. extracting installation program, "COMSMAKE.EXE".  File decompression and
  5. installation requires approximately 550,000 bytes of free disk space.
  6.  
  7. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
  8.  
  9. The software can be installed to a floppy or hard disk provided you have the
  10. necessary free disk space.
  11.  
  12. To install the software,  you first need to create a directory on your disk
  13. where the software will reside, and then install the software to that
  14. directory.  The example below assumes a directory named "COMS" will be
  15. created on drive C:, and the software will be installed in that directory.
  16.  
  17. Boot-up DOS, and insert the distribution disk that contains the COMSMAKE.EXE
  18. file into drive A:.  Type each of the DOS commands shown below followed by
  19. the Enter key:
  20.  
  21.     DOS COMMANDS                      Comments (do not type)
  22.     ------------             ----------------------------------------
  23.     C:                       Makes drive C: the current drive.
  24.     CD\                      Changes to drive C: root directory.
  25.     MD COMS                  Makes a subdirectory named "COMS".
  26.     CD COMS                  Changes directory to "COMS".
  27.     A:COMSMAKE               Installs the software to "COMS" directory.
  28.  
  29. To print the user's manual, type PRINTMAN and press the Enter key.
  30.  
  31. To run the software, type COMS and press the Enter key.
